Siloh vs Strava (2026)

Updated

Verdict: Strava is far better at social running and activity tracking: segments, leaderboards, routes, a huge community and support for almost every watch. Siloh is the better pick if you're a runner or a run club that also wants fueling planned, with meals that change between training days and rest days. Many runners will want both.

We make Siloh, so weigh this accordingly. Here's where each one wins.

The short version

Strava is where runners record and share their activity. It records runs, rides, walks, hikes and more than 50 other sport types, then puts them in a social feed where friends give kudos. It has segments and leaderboards, routes, challenges, clubs with events and posts, and a subscription that adds deeper training analysis, route features and Athlete Intelligence. Strava also sells a bundle with Runna, a running coaching app that builds training plans from 5K to ultramarathon.

Siloh is a nutrition and training app that plans your meals and your workouts as one system. With Siloh Pro, it builds a running program (or lifting, MMA/combat or hybrid) and the meal plan that fuels it, so a long run day and a rest day eat differently, and it adapts after a skipped session. The free app includes run tracking with GPS, logging, recipes, grocery lists and Clubs.

For a run club, the question is what you need beyond activity sharing. Strava is the place your runners already post their miles. Siloh Clubs are free and built around running the club itself: events with GPS check-in, challenges, chapters and squads, plus fueling for members who want it.

Where Strava wins

  • Social running. Strava's feed, follows, kudos and comments are where most runners already share their miles. Siloh doesn't try to replace that.
  • Activity tracking. Strava records more than 50 sport types and adds training analysis with a subscription. Siloh's run tracking is simpler.
  • Segments and leaderboards. Strava has segment leaderboards and weekly club leaderboards. Siloh has no global or club-wide leaderboards, only leaderboards inside challenges.
  • Routes and safety. Strava recommends and builds routes, and Beacon shares your live location with people you choose.
  • Devices and platforms. Strava works with Apple Watch, Wear OS, Garmin, Fitbit and thousands of other apps and devices, on iPhone and Android. Siloh is iPhone only for now and connects with Apple Health and Whoop.
  • Network effect. Your club's runners are probably on Strava already. Siloh launched on July 30, 2026, and has a much smaller community.
  • Lower subscription price. Strava's individual subscription is $79.99/year, under Siloh Pro's $149.99/year. The Strava + Runna bundle matches Siloh Pro at $149.99/year.

Where Siloh wins

  • Fueling planned around your running. Siloh Pro builds a meal plan around your training, so a long run day and a rest day eat differently. Strava doesn't list nutrition planning.
  • Training and food in one plan. Siloh Pro builds the running program and the meals together, and adapts after a skipped session. With Strava, coaching comes through Runna and nutrition lives in another app.
  • More than running. Siloh Pro programs also cover lifting, MMA/combat and hybrid training, for runners who lift or cross-train.
  • Free club tools for running the club. Siloh Clubs are free and include events with GPS check-in, an approval queue for join requests, pinned notices, post moderation, challenges, and chapters and squads for bigger clubs.
  • Food for the whole group. The free app includes recipes and grocery lists, and Households share dinners scaled per person with a combined grocery list.

Siloh's honest downsides

  • iPhone only for now. Android is coming soon. A club with many Android runners will find Strava easier today.
  • Not a social running network. No segments, no global leaderboards and a far smaller community than Strava.
  • Fewer device connections. Siloh connects with Apple Health and Whoop, not the long list of watches Strava supports.
  • The AI is in Pro. Generated running programs, meal plans, adaptation and the AI coach need Siloh Pro.
  • Newer app. Launched July 30, 2026, with few reviews so far.

Choose Strava if…

  • You want to share runs, get kudos and chase segments and leaderboards.
  • You want deep activity tracking from your watch, whatever brand it is.
  • Your club mainly needs a place for members to post miles and see each other's runs.
  • You or your members use Android.

Choose Siloh if…

  • You want your fueling planned around your runs, not just your runs recorded.
  • You want one app to plan your running program and your meals together.
  • You run a club and want free events with GPS check-in, challenges, chapters and squads in one place.
  • You're on iPhone. Plenty of runners keep Strava for sharing and use Siloh for the plan.
